In 2007, India had witnessed a steady growth in GDP in excess of 7.6% per annum for last several years. A CII Employment Potential Study in 2007 for 36 sectors indicated that an additional 2.5 million jobs would be created in the automotive sector, while the financial sector could employ another 1.1 million people. The reality of sourcing employable talent posed a real challenge.
Walchand Plus quickly identified an opportunity to create a robust curriculum that could enable a graduate transition from academics to professional life. These assessments were benchmarked to industry competency requirements. The curriculum also included English skills coaching, the participants were given a TOEIC certificate valid for 2 years globally
.As the curriculum was embellished with global practices through Videos and films, management simulations & games, boo, cognitive and behavioral assessment tools were used to assess the competencies through validated psychometric tools. Till date 46,000 students have been impacted. CPEE is a curriculum that is modularized and can be customized to specific needs of the students.
